Kealive Anti-Static Ceramic Heating & Anti Scald Hair Straightener Brush
This Kealive Hair Straightener Brush is great! It’s designed to be comfortable to hold and very easy to use. The overall length of the brush and handle is 27cm, it’s approximately 13cm for the actual brush part and 14cm for the handle; the brush is about 7cm wide. Although there’s a little weight to the brush, it’s been designed in a way that the brush is well balanced, so when you’re using the brush it doesn’t feel heavy at all.
When you turn the brush on it starts at a temperature of 30 degrees, you then adjust the temperature up to a maximum of 230 degrees. It takes about 1 minute to get to 230 degrees and the LCD backlight display on the handle clearly shows the temperature as it heats up. To turn the brush on and off, you have to hold the power button down for 3 seconds, which is great because it means you can’t turn off accidently whilst using it. The ceramic ‘bristles’ on the brush are well spaced to cope with even the thickest hair and have special tips on the end to prevent you accidently burning your scalp.
I have shoulder length straight hair, but after it’s been washed and dried it has a very rough looking texture. After drying my hair I slowly brushed it on top, moving the brush a similar speed as you would straighteners; I then brushed it from underneath, turning the brush slightly when I got to the ends to give it a nice shape. The appearance of my hair was totally transformed and it looked silky and healthy after using the Kealive Hair Straightener Brush. I’d definitely be happy to recommend this brush, it’s well made and works really well; it also costs much less than many other straightening brushes and come with a 2 year warranty.

Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer with Back Lit LED & Fever Warning
This Hylogy thermometer is brilliant. Firstly and most importantly it works well and secondly it’s packed with useful features. It uses 2 x AAA batteries, which are supplied and fit into the back of the thermometer and it also comes with a little drawstring suedette pouch to store it in.
The thermometer uses non-contact infrared technology to take the temperature reading, which is perfect for babies and young children; it’s super quick and takes the reading in about 1 seconds. One major benefit of this thermometer is because it is non-contact, you don’t have to try to put it in the ear or mouth of a wriggling child. Just turn it on and hold it in front of the forehead 3-5cm away, then press the power button again and the temperature is displayed in the large back lit LED screen in just over a second. A big plus for me is that the readings are consistent, I tried it 5 times on my forehead and got the exact same reading each time; other ones I’ve tried vary each time. To make sure it was working and not just stuck on the same temperature I tried it on my armpit and it showed a totally different reading; it also demonstrated another great feature. A body temperature between 34-37.3ºC has a green backlight, a temperature reading between 37.4-38 ºC and the backlight turns amber, whilst a temperature of 38.1-42.9ºC turns the backlight red and the thermometer beeps like crazy. I think this added feature is great, especially if you’re not sure on what a normal/safe temperature should be and it does work, when I tried it on my armpit the screen instantly turned red and it started beeping.
You have a choice of having the temperate in celsius or Fahrenheit. The thermometer is RoHS & CE certified and the reading accurate to + or – 0.2ºC, which is pretty impressive. If you are monitoring a temperature, you can save it into the memory and it will store up 50 readings. In addition to reading body temperatures, you can also use it to take surface temperature readings too, whether it’s food or bath water. I can highly recommend this thermometer, it’s well made, accurate and has lots of really useful features and of course it comes with Aukey’s 24 month warranty.

Kealive Hair Clippers, Water Resistant, Cordless with 4 Attachment Combs
I’m really impressed with these Kealive hair clippers; there are so many good things about them. The first good thing is that they’re rechargeable and cordless, so you don’t have to worry about the cord getting in the way or having to be near a power to be able to use them. It takes 8 hours to fully charge them, but once fully charged you have 60 minutes use from them, which is more than enough time to finish a haircut. There are also indicator lights on the top of the clippers, so you can keep an eye on the remaining charge while you use them. To charge them you can either connect them to the charging cable or you can place them in the charging cradle and connect that to the mains.
The second great thing, and probably the most important thing when it comes to hair clippers, is that they’re very sharp and cut really well. I’ve tried them on the ends of my hair and the back of my Dad’s hair and it easily and quickly cut both. I know they are designed for people, but I have a Persian cat whose fur needs regular trimming around her nether regions and under her chin, so I thought I’d try them on her. Although she has fine woolly fur, the clippers cut it without any problem at all; in fact, as they are so much quieter than the pet clippers I already have, I will always use these Kealive clippers on her from now on. They are also lightweight to hold and comfortable to use.
These clippers come with 4 slide-on combs which are 3mm, 6mm, 9mm & 12mm in length allowing you to adjust the cutting length and they also have a switch which can change the length without using the comb attachments from 0.8mm-2mm long. There’s also a button on the clippers for adjusting the blade rotation speed between the 3 speeds. They are water resistant to IP67 category, so you can run them under the tap to clean them or just use the included cleaning brush on them. I’d be very happy to recommend these clippers, they are very well made and work really well; plus of course, they come with a 2 year warranty.

Kealive Nano Ionic Facial Steamer
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this Kealive Facial Steamer, but I’m very pleasantly surprised. The initial impression given by its appearance is good; it looks very sleek and stylish. It’s kinda a elongated, rounded wedge shape; the main body is high gloss white plastic with chrome effect edging. The centre of the front panel is a semi-opaque pink plastic panel with the pink nozzle at the top, the on/off/mode button is also on the front of the machine.
The water tank for the steamer is sunk lush into the back of it. Once this is removed, you unscrew the stopper and use the included filler cup to put water in the tank, then simply reinsert the tank and press the power button on the front to turn the machine on. When initially turned on, the power button turns blue and you hear a faint clicking noise, then after about 30 second steam starts to come out. To be honest, I have no idea what ions are; but from having a straightening brush with ions, I know this clicking noise is from the ions. If you press the power/mode button a second time, it turns red and then the ions turn off and the level of steam increases. Although I haven’t got a clue what ions are, I much prefer the mode with them on; without them I found the steam quite stifling, the same sort of feeling as being in a sauna. There’s a little button/foot thing on the back that has a spring on it – I thought it might have been a safety feature, like you get on halogen lights that shut the device off when it’s loses contact with the surface. As the table I was using was quite low, I’m pleased to say that it’s not, which meant I could lift the steamer up, instead of me bending over so much. The nozzle the steam comes from moves to direct the steam, although it should be positioned before starting the steamer up, otherwise you run the risk of scalding your fingers.
I was really impressed with this facial steamer, it gives out a great level of steam and at just the right pressure for it to be effective, whilst also comfortable to use. Kealive recommend not using the steamer for more than 15 minutes at a time. The first time I tried it, I used it normally for 5 minutes with plain water; but as I have a stinking cold at the moment I also tried it for another 5 minutes with a couple of drops of Olbas oil in the water, which cleared my head and nose a treat. I’d definitely recommend this facial steam. It looks great and works well too, both as steamer for opening your pores etc and for clearing your head if you have a cold; plus it comes with Kealive’s normal 2 year warranty.

Kealive Compact Mirror With Rechargeable Light 1 X / 5 X Magnification
This compact mirror is great! It’s pretty much the size of a ‘normal’ compact, at about 9cm in diameter and marginally deeper at about 1.5cm. But this compact is so much better than a ‘normal’ mirror, because when you open the mirror it lights up. And as with all Kealive products, it’s been carefully thought out; it’s not a glaring bright light that blinds you so you can’t see what you’re doing or everyone around you sees the light. The LED light is around the outside edge of one of the mirrors, behind a frosted cover and is easily bright enough for you to apply lipstick or check your face.
The outside of the mirror is a mix of gloss and matte white plastic, which helps to keeps it nice and lightweight. There are two mirrors in this compact, a slightly larger mirror with 5 times magnification and on the other side of the mirror with the light around the edge that has 1 x magnification and the lid opens up 120°, making it easy to use.
You don’t have to worry about replacing the battery in the mirror, as it’s rechargeable. The mirror comes with a USB to micro USB cable for charging, which attaches to a little slot on the side of the mirror. Once fully charged, a single charge will last for 6 hours; bearing in mind the amount of time you actually spend using a compact mirror, it’ll probably last for months on the one charge. As with all Kealive products, this mirror comes with a 2 year warranty.

Kealive Double Sided 1X/5X Magnification Illuminated Makeup Mirror
This mirror looks very stylish, the main body of it is a matte white plastic with chrome effect edging around the actual mirror, it would look very nice and unobtrusive on most dressing tables or in any bathroom. It is very neat and compact; the overall height is 20cm and the width is 17cm at its widest point, tapering down to 10cm; the size of the actual round mirror in it is 11cm in diameter. The mirror has a central pivot, allowing you to rotate the mirror 360° and easily change between the 1x magnification size and the 5 x magnification sides. The pivot is firm enough that you can tilt the mirror to angle you want and it will stay in position and there’s little rubber feet on the bottom of the mirror, which should stop it slipping if you happen to have it perched a bit precariously somewhere.
Around the edge of the mirror are 12 LED lights which give out a gentle light that I would probably say was akin to daylight colouring; as it is a gentle light, it means you can see what you’re doing without being blinded by the lights. The light is switched on and off by a fingertip sized button that’s slightly recessed in the front of the base. 3 rechargeable AAA batteries are very thoughtfully supplied with the mirror, which are placed in the base of it.
This is a very nice, very useful LED mirror. It’s great for using at home, but due to its compact size and light weight it’d also be useful for taking away with you – there are never enough decent mirrors when you go away. I’d happily recommend this mirror.
