Aglaia Aroma Diffuser
I’m a big fan of diffusers and have one in most rooms at home; I love this one, the shape and the ridging effect is so unusual, it looks like it’s a ceramic pot and when you use it, the whole diffuser glows… It’s really gorgeous.
Apart from looking so lovely, both lit and unlit, for me personally the other main plus point for this diffuser is the size of the water tank, it’s a whopping 500ml! Anyone who uses a diffuser will know how annoying it is to be filling them up every couple hours, I put water in up to the ridge and 8 drops of watermelon scented oil in during the evening and it was still going when I got up the following morning.
You don’t have an intermittent setting on this diffuser, instead you have a choice of 1, 3, 6 hours or staying on until the water runs out; there’s a built in safety feature that will automatically turn the diffuser off when the water runs out. Another great feature is that you can turn the light off, which is brilliant if you want to have it running in the bedroom at night and don’t want to be disturbed by the light. It’s really quiet when it’s going, all you can hear is a faint noise of the water bubbling; so you don’t have to worry about the noise keeping you awake either.
When you turn the light on, it automatically goes into the colour changing mode and the colours gradually blend and change, the colour palette is lovely, all very soft and subtle; if you want to keep it on a particular colour, simply press the light button when it gets to the colour you want and it will stay on that colour.. Although you can have the mist on without the light, you can’t have the light on without the mist. There’s a good amount of mist with this diffuser, with a constant stream coming out, which gives a great level of aroma. There’s a high and low mist option, although to be honest I couldn’t notice much difference; but importantly for me, it left no evidence of surface dampness under the diffuser, as that’s one of my pet hates. I really loved this diffuser and would happily recommend it both for performance and appearance.

Kealive Wine Bottle Opener Electric Corkscrew with Free Foil Cutter
Unfortunately due to a chronic health condition I have a very poor grip and weak wrists, therefore using a traditional corkscrew varies between being nigh on impossible and a total nightmare. So I was over the moon to receive this corkscrew.
The design of it looks lovely, the top 2/3 looks like brushed stainless steel and the bottom 1/3 is a high gloss clear plastic, then at the very top of it there’s a high gloss clear plastic screw-on flat cover hiding the battery compartment. You can see the actual corkscrew part through the clear bottom section, which adds to the overall appearance. The Kealive products I’ve had have always been excellent quality and this electric corkscrew is no exception. Although there’s a substantial weight to it, that makes it feel a quality item as soon as you pick it up, the weight’s very well balanced making it easy to hold and use, even if you have dexterity problems. It’s operated by 4 x AA batteries which slide down into the top section.
The electric corkscrew also comes with a special cutter to cut through the outer foil casing on the top of the bottle, which is quite a nifty little addition. To use the corkscrew, you simply place the end on it over the neck of the bottle, there’s a spring loaded clear plastic insert that you press against the top of the bottle. Then press on the large down button on the side of the corkscrew and when it’s far enough into the cork, press the up button and hey presto, the cork comes out.
This makes uncorking a bottle so easy to do, it’s very well designed and thought out; from the balance weighting and the width of it being easy and comfortable to hold in your hand. Plus it looks really nice, something that you’d be happy to leave out on the side. I can highly recommend this for anyone, but especially for anyone with dexterity problems.
