AUKEY Solar Power Bank 12000mAh Dual USB Port
There are so many portable things these days that you charge by USB, whether it’s phones, cameras, MP3 players or lights to name but a few. Obviously if you’re at home, there’s no problem in recharging your devices; but if you are away or out for the day, it might not be so easy. One solution to the problem is by using a power bank, but power banks also need charging…
AUKEY have very cleverly come up with a solution; a Solar Power Bank with a Built-in 12000mAh high capacity lithium battery. So now wherever you are you’re able to charge your devices… If you’re away camping or going to the beach for the day, simply leave your power bank out in the sunlight to top it up, as it has a solar conversion efficiency of up to 21.5%-23.5%. For optimum performance from the power bank it should be charged up from the mains, but it’s great to have the option of using the solar power to extend the usage.
As the power bank is only 13.5cm x 8cm in size and weighs just 275g, it’s extremely portable; so that combined with the fact it has a rubberised main body and it’s anti-shock, water resistant and dust-proof, means it’s very rugged and durable, making it perfect for taking to the beach, hiking or camping. There are even two holes on the corner specifically so you can attach the power bank to your bag or anything else you want. The power bank also has a built in torch and two separate USB sports for charging devices. This is another great product from Aukey, well made and well designed and I’d happily recommend it, especially as it comes with their usual 2yr warranty.

AUKEY USB Wall Charger with 4 USB ports and also a UK AC socket
We are using more gadgets and electrical items than ever and nowadays the majority of these things come with USB cables for charging, instead of conventional plugs; you can buy USB adapter plugs or even multi USB charging units, but both of these need plugging in, meaning that you always have a power socket being used.
Aukey have come up with a brilliant solution for this, they’ve introduced a plug through USB plug that allows you to plug in 4 USB cables to charge things, whilst also being able to use the plug socket at the same time.
So not only do you still have access to your plug socket to use as normal for things that have a traditional style plug, you can also charge up your devices that use USB cables, which will always be charged at the safest maximum recharge rate, using AiPower Adaptive Charging Technology. The ports can charge up to 2.4amps per port with a maximum power of 6amps at one time. You can also relax knowing that Aukey have built-in safeguards, to ensure that your devices are protected against excessive current, overheating, and overcharging. For added confidence, the plug comes with Aukey’s standard 2 year warranty.
This is such a great product; I’m sure anyone that charges devices by USB will get a lot of use out of it. Another simple, but very useful feature is the size of the plug; it’s only very marginally wider than a standard plug, so there should be no problems using it on a multi-gang extension lead or double wall socket, there’s nothing more annoying than plugging something in and finding it’s so wide that you can’t use the socket next to it. I’d happily recommend this product to anyone.

5 Pack of AUKEY Data Sync & Charging USB C to USB 3.0 cables
I have to admit that I stupidly ordered these by mistake, as they seemed to be much better quality than my existing charging cables and I liked the nylon braiding on the outside; but I didn’t realise that they had USB C connections, as opposed to the micro USB that my devices use.
Luckily one of my friends has a Nexus phone that does have the USB C connection, so I’ve given them to her and she tried them out for me. Like me, she was very impressed with the quality and design of the cables, the nylon braiding on the cables makes them feel much more substantial than the normal design cables and makes us think they’ll probably last longer, as well as looking much nicer too. Although these cables are marginally thicker, they are just as flexible as the traditional style cables and will actually stay in the position you put them in.
You get 5 cables in the pack, which I think is exceptional value for money. The cables you get are; 3 @ 1 metre long, 1 @ 2 metres long and 1 @ 33cm long, so you get a good selection of very usable lengths. The other end of the cable is the standard USB 3 connector, which means it'll give you faster charging & data transfer. My friend was very impressed with both the charging speed and the data transfer speed when she used them and the great thing about the USB C connector is that unlike the micro USB, it doesn’t matter which way up it is (I’m sure I’m not the only one who invariably tries puting the micro USB in the wrong way).
More and more devices are using the USB C connectors, because they give a faster connection than the traditional micro USB, the new 12” Apple Macbook, Google Chromebooks, LG Nexus phones and Lumia phones all now come with the USB C fitting; so if your current smart phone or tablet doesn’t use this connection, there’s a pretty good chance that if you replace it within the next 18 months or so, your new device will have USB C ports. I would happily recommend these cables to anyone needing USB C cables, they are very well made and are fast for both charging and data transfer. My friend is over the moon with the 4 I gave her; I must admit I kept the shortest one as I love the texture and flexibility and am currently using it as worry beads J. As with all Aukey products these cables come with a 2 year warranty.

AUKEY 5 Port USB Charger 50W / 10A with AiPower Tech
More and more things these days come with USB charging cables, instead of plugs; in theory making it easier to charge devices from your lap top or a USB plug adapter. The trouble is I have so many things that are charged up by USB, that I often have to wait for one to charge, just so I can unplug it and charge something else. Aukey have got the perfect solution for this problem a USB charger that lets you plug 5 things in at the same time to simultaneously charge them.
Even though this is a functional piece of equipment, thought has gone into the appearance; rather than just having the normal gloss white plastic, this multi-charger has a nice pearlescent white finish. I’m not very good on technology, but this charger has a special chip inside it that intelligently detects the input current of the connected devices to maximise both compatibility and charging speed (up to 2.4 amps each port); meaning that no matter which port you connect your device to it’ll be charged at the optimum speed. Also the circuit is designed with over-heated, over-current, over-charging protection, so you don’t have to worry because charging will be automatically stopped when battery is full.
Even though it has 5 charging ports, at only 9cm x 6cm, the charger isn’t much bigger than a credit card, meaning it’s fairly inconspicuous when it’s out and definitely neater than a 5 plug traditional extension lead would be. The charger is powered by a mains plug and has an 80cm lead, making it easy to plug in. I’d definitely recommend this; it’s great being able to charge up a few things at the same time, something like this can make life so much easier and the 2yr warranty is good for extra peace of mind.
